Columbia Gorge Community College (CGCC) offers a wide range of nursing educational programs to help meet the needs of the local healthcare industry. The college offers Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degrees in Registered Nursing and Practical Nursing, as well as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Certificate. CGCC also allows students to complete their Pre-Nursing requirements prior to transferring to a four-year institution. The Associate of Applied Science in Registered Nursing offers both pre-licensure and bridge programs that provide the knowledge and skills necessary for entry-level positions in the field. Students will be prepared to take the national licensing exam and pursue professional certification upon completion. The bridge program offers an opportunity for qualified licensed practical nurses to pursue a higher degree by building on the skills acquired through their prior training. The Associate of Applied Science in Practical Nursing also provides pre-licensure and bridge programs, with students receiving everything they need to become successful nursing professionals. This program offers graduates the chance to earn their LPN license upon completion. In addition, the bridge program is designed for qualified licensed practical nurses who wish to further their education and increase their job opportunities.
