About

George Fox University has a top-tier nursing program that is dedicated to providing students with a high-quality education. The program focuses on preparing students for their careers as professional nurses and equipping them with the skills to make an impact in their chosen profession. The school offers two pathways for students interested in pursuing a degree in nursing – a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree and a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP). Both programs are designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to enter the field and to be successful. The BSN program at George Fox University provides a comprehensive curriculum of courses in both the theoretical and practical aspects of nursing. Students learn a broad range of knowledge, such as human anatomy and physiology, health promotion, nutrition, pharmacology, healthcare ethics, and more. Students also have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through clinicals and six months of advanced practicum. Upon completion of the degree, students are eligible to take the NCLEX examination and become a Registered Nurse (RN). The DNP program at George Fox University is designed to educate individuals who are already RNs or APRNs. This program focuses on developing advanced practice nurses with the skills necessary to provide evidence-based advanced nursing services to patients. The curriculum includes courses in healthcare policy, advanced pharmacology, advanced practice management, quality improvement, nursing research, and more. Upon completion of the program, students will be prepared to become nurse practitioners, clinical nurse specialists, or nurse executives. At George Fox University, we are committed to providing an outstanding education to our students and preparing them to be effective leaders in the field of nursing. Our nursing programs combine theory, practice, and research to ensure that our students have the education and experience necessary to succeed in this ever-changing landscape.
