Nursing Education at Siena College is dedicated to providing students with the highest quality education, preparing them to be successful on their journey to becoming a nurse. Students can earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree, as well as associate and master's degrees in nursing. The school also participates in several research initiatives to further the knowledge of healthcare professionals. Siena College offers a variety of resources for students including caring faculty and staff, mentorships and student organizations. Students can earn their BSN through either a traditional or accelerated program format. The traditional program is designed with four academic years, while the accelerated program allows you to complete the program in fifteen months. The program includes clinical experiences in acute care settings and classes including research, professional development and health information technology. Upon completion of the program, graduates are prepared to take the NCLEX exam and become nurse practitioners. In addition to the BSN program, the college also offers numerous other nursing programs. The master's degree in nursing focuses on advanced nursing practice and has multiple areas of focus such as nursing education, acute care, family health, leadership, pastoral care and administration. There is also an associates degree in nursing that prepares students to succeed in professional practice and pass the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX).
