About

Springfield Technical Community College (STCC) offers an array of nursing education programs to help aspiring nurses become successful in their field. STCC's nursing program provides students with the latest nursing technology and knowledge they need to pursue fulfilling careers in healthcare. The college's nursing education program consists of an Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) that prepares graduates for a career as a Registered Nurse (RN). The program includes coursework in anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, nursing theory, and medical ethics. Additionally, students must complete 500 clinical hours of training in a real-world setting. Upon completion of the program, students are eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN), which is required by the Massachusetts Board of Nursing. In addition to the ADN program, STCC also offers Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) and Master’s of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree programs. Both of these programs are designed for registered nurses who are looking to further their education and expand their expertise in the areas of patient care and management. For those interested in advanced practice nursing roles or teaching at the college level, the MSN program can provide the necessary preparation. At STCC, students receive a robust education in nursing theory, research and best practices. The college has invested in state-of-the-art labs and simulation centers so that students can experience the most realistic clinical simulations. With hands-on learning, students are prepared to succeed in the nursing profession and provide the best patient care. In addition to its educational programs, STCC also provides various resources and services to support current and prospective nursing students. These include access to an array of student support services such as counseling, tutoring, advising, and career guidance. Furthermore, nursing students are able to take advantage of co-op experiences through partnerships with area hospitals and clinics that give them real-world experience. For those passionate about nursing, STCC offers a quality, comprehensive nursing education. Regardless of what stage of their nursing career someone is in, STCC provides the necessary skills and knowledge to become a successful nurse.
