Orion Technical College offers a comprehensive range of nursing education programs designed to prepare graduates for success in the healthcare field. The college offers associate and bachelor’s degree programs, as well as certificate programs, that are designed to give students the knowledge and skills needed to provide quality, safe and effective patient care. The Associate of Applied Science in Nursing program is designed to prepare students to become Registered Nurses (RNs). The curriculum covers a range of topics such as anatomy & physiology, pharmacology, health assessment, clinical nursing skills and more. The program also includes hands-on experience in the clinical setting, giving students the opportunity to gain the confidence necessary to practice nursing in a variety of settings. Upon completion of the program, students are eligible to take their National Council Licensure Exam (NCLEX-RN) and become an RN. The Bachelor of Science in Nursing program is designed to prepare learners to lead professional nursing practices. The curriculum focuses on developing the advanced knowledge and skills necessary to care for diverse populations in multiple settings, including primary care and specialty care. Students have the opportunity to gain experience in the clinical setting with support from experienced faculty. Graduates of this program are eligible to take the NCLEX-RN examination and become an RN with a higher level of skills, knowledge and professional standing.
