About

Mesa Community College (MCC) offers a range of nursing education programs to help aspiring nurses reach their career goals. From certificate and diploma programs to associate’s, bachelor’s and master’s degrees, MCC provides quality nursing education opportunities. At the certificate level, students can choose from the Certified Nursing Assistant Certificate program or the Medical Office Assistant Certificate program. Both of these certificate programs are career-oriented and provide students with the necessary skills and knowledge to find entry-level positions in the nursing field. For those looking to further their nursing education, MCC offers an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing (AAS). To qualify for entry into this program, students must have a valid CNA certification and a high school diploma or GED. This two-year degree program prepares students to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) and to work as a Registered Nurse. In addition to its AAS program, MCC also offers the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program. This four-year program is geared toward experienced nurses who have already obtained an associate’s degree in nursing. The BSN program is designed to give students the necessary knowledge and skills to work as a professional nurse in many different types of health care facilities. After completion of this program, graduates are also able to pursue advanced education and training in areas such as midwifery, oncology and gerontology. For those nurses who wish to specialize in a particular area of nursing, MCC offers several Master of Science in Nursing degrees. These specialty degrees include Clinical Nurse Specialist, Nurse Educator and Nurse Practitioner. Each of these degree paths offer students the opportunity to gain advanced knowledge and experience in specific areas of nursing. Mesa Community College is committed to providing quality nursing education. Whether you are just starting out in the nursing field or looking to advance your career, MCC has the program to fit your needs. With flexible options, MCC can help you reach your educational goals and get your career in nursing off to a successful start.
