Arizona Western College (AWC) is committed to providing quality nursing education that allows students to enter the profession as competent, qualified professionals. Located in Yuma, Arizona, AWC offers an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing that can be completed in four semesters and can help students move on to more advanced studies in nursing. The program at AWC offers students the opportunity to gain the knowledge and skills needed to provide safe, competent, and ethical professional nursing care. Topics covered include mental health, Delegation, Nursing Informatics, Community Health and Leadership, and much more. Clinical experiences are also included to allow students to apply their knowledge and learn from real-world patient care situations. Upon successful completion of the program, students are eligible to apply for the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN) and become a Registered Nurse.
