Nursing education at Northcentral Technical College (NTC) provides students with an excellent foundation of knowledge and skills to become successful nurses. The NTC nursing program prepares graduates to work in a variety of settings, including hospitals, long-term care facilities, schools, mental health facilities, and home health care organizations. NTC nursing courses can be tailored to meet the needs of each student and the program curriculum offers courses in anatomy and physiology, clinical pharmacology, pathophysiology, nursing fundamentals, and health assessment. The faculty at NTC is experienced and dedicated to helping each student reach their educational and professional goals. Faculty members share their extensive expertise and experience to ensure that students receive a quality education. Additionally, the college offers academic advising and support services to give students the tools they need to succeed. The NTC nursing program also provides students with hands-on experience in the clinical setting. Clinical rotations allow students to apply what they have learned in the classroom to real-world situations. They are supervised by faculty members, giving students valuable insight into the nursing profession. NTC provides its students with the opportunity to take part in internships, both inside and outside of the classroom. Internships enable students to gain experience in the specialty areas of nursing such as pediatrics, geriatrics, mental health, acute care, labor and delivery, and hospice. Finally, upon completion of the NTC nursing program, graduates can either pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing or become eligible to take the national registered nurse licensing examination. With NTC’s strong focus on providing practical, hands-on experience and a commitment to helping students reach their academic and professional goals, the nursing program provides students with the tools and resources to become successful in the nursing profession.
