About

Walla Walla Community College (WWCC) offers programs in nursing education and is dedicated to providing students with the opportunity to obtain degrees and certificates for a successful career in nursing. WWCC offers associate degree and certificate programs in Nursing, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree program in Nursing. The curriculum in each program prepares students with the skills and knowledge necessary to become competent, licensed nurses. The Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) in Nursing program prepares students to become licensed practical nurses (LPNs) or Registered Nurses (RNs). Students gain the theoretical knowledge and practical skills needed to care for patients, as well as develop critical thinking, problem solving and communication abilities. Through this program, students receive hands-on experience in a clinical setting and gain the confidence to transition from being a student nurse to a professional one. In addition to the A.A.S. program, WWCC also offers the Associate of Nursing Transfer (ANT) program. This program enables current RNs to earn an Associate of Arts degree in Liberal Studies at WWCC and then transfer to a four-year college or university to complete their Bachelor of Science in Nursing in as little as two years. WWCC also offers a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree program, which provides registered nurses with the knowledge and skills needed to assume leadership roles in the healthcare industry. Through this program, students acquire advanced skills in communication, critical thinking, and patient assessment while studying topics like evidence-based practice, population health, and professional nursing roles and responsibilities. At WWCC, students are able to receive quality nursing education and gain the skill sets necessary to succeed in their nursing career. By offering a wide range of associate and bachelor degree programs, WWCC is dedicated to helping students achieve their dreams.
