South Texas Vocational Technical Institute (STVT) - Weslaco offers a comprehensive and quality nursing education. Based in Weslaco, Texas, the college offers a wide range of vocational and technical programs, including a nursing program that prepares students to become Registered Nurses. The nursing program at STVT-Weslaco is accredited by the Texas Board of Nursing and provides students with the necessary knowledge and skills to become successful nurses. The nursing program at STVT-Weslaco begins with a pre-nursing course, which provides basic training in anatomy, physiology, nutrition, and pharmacology. It also prepares students for the NCLEX-RN, the national licensure examination for registered nurses. After completing the pre-nursing course, students enroll in the core nursing courses.
