East Tennessee State University (ETSU) offers excellent nursing education in its College of Nursing. The college provides state-of-the-art instruction and experiential learning opportunities to help mold the next generation of nurses. ETSU values educational excellence, research, and professional development. They believe in providing the best preparation and training to enable students to become capable, competent, and successful nurses. At the undergraduate level, ETSU provides a comprehensive program in traditional and emerging nursing areas. Students can pursue an Associate of Science in Nursing or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at ETSU. The college also offers an RN-to-BSN transition program specifically designed to meet the needs of working nurses who have already earned their associate degree in nursing. The college also has a variety of graduate programs, such as a Master of Science in Nursing, with tracks in several areas of study, including nurse executive leadership, healthcare informatics, and adult-gerontology primary care; a Post-Master’s Certificate in Nursing Education; and a Doctor of Nursing Practice. All of these programs emphasize evidence-based practice and utilize innovative teaching strategies to ensure students receive the highest quality educating.
