The Associate Degree nursing program at Orangeburg Calhoun Technical College is designed to prepare students for entry-level positions in the nursing field. The program provides theoretical and practical knowledge in anatomy and physiology, fundamentals of nursing, pharmacology and health assessment. Students benefit from lectures, clinical experiences, and simulation labs. Upon completion of this program, students will be eligible for licensure as a registered nurse. At Orangeburg Calhoun Technical College, we also offer a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree program. This program combines traditional coursework with clinical experience. The curriculum addresses topics such as leadership, evidence-based practice, healthcare management, population health, advanced medical/surgical concepts, and critical care nursing. Upon completion, students are prepared to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses.
