Nursing education at Caribbean University – Vega Baja is preparing the next generation of nurses to meet the challenges of the healthcare system. At Caribbean University – Vega Baja, we offer extensive nursing coursework designed to prepare our students for both the rigors of clinical practice and the demanding responsibilities of the nurse profession. Our B.S.N. program meets the requirements for licensure as a registered nurse in Puerto Rico, offering courses that cover the broad areas of health assessment, research, nursing theory and practice, pharmacology, nutrition, public health, and more. The curriculum is further enhanced by excellent clinical placements and hands-on experience at hospitals and other healthcare settings, providing our students with the opportunity to gain valuable insight into their clinical work. Our master’s program in nursing prepares qualified students to move their nursing career to the next level. In this program, students have the opportunity to explore advanced areas of practice, including primary care, specialty care, leadership, research, and teaching. Through coursework and clinical experiences, our students gain the critical knowledge, aptitudes, and skills to succeed in a variety of nursing roles.
