ICPR Junior College provides comprehensive nursing education that seeks to ensure that its graduates are well-prepared to meet the demands of the profession. ICPR Junior College’s nursing program is designed to equip its students with the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to provide safe, competent and ethical nursing care. The program covers the fundamentals of nursing and includes both theoretical and clinical training. Students learn the essential aspects of patient care such as history taking, physical assessment, nutrition, pharmacology, and communication. Additionally, the college offers specialty courses in maternal-child health, critical care and mental health. These specialties are complemented with opportunities to apply professional judgment in clinical practice. ICPR also provides a wide range of other electives, such as gerontology, palliative care, forensic nursing and hospice care. Throughout the program, ICPR encourages developing strong relationships between faculty and students, staff and peers.
