EDP University of Puerto Rico Inc-San Juan has a top-notch nursing education program, which is focused on giving students the skills and knowledge to become successful nurses. The university is committed to providing quality nursing education through its curriculum and faculty. With an emphasis on using the latest technology and an approach grounded in evidence based practice, students are well-prepared for the challenging professional world of nursing. The university’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program takes place over four years and provides students with a comprehensive education in the principles of nursing. In addition to core courses in anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology, the program also includes specialty courses such as advanced pediatric nursing, neonatal intensive care nursing, and obstetrics/gynecology. Through these classes, students gain a deep understanding of the theories and practices of caring for patients and how to apply them in real life situations. In addition to the didactic course work, students participate in clinical rotations, field trips, and simulate learning activities to further develop their practical nursing knowledge. Clinical rotations allow students to work under the direct supervision of a nurse practitioner or registered nurse, providing them with invaluable experience in the delivery of patient care. Clinical experiences also allow students to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills which are key to success in the field of nursing. After completing their clinical and academic requirements, students are eligible to take the NCLEX-RN examination, which is the national licensing exam for nurses. If successful, graduates can obtain a state license, enabling them to practice in any state in the country. EDP University of Puerto Rico Inc-San Juan is proud of its nursing education program and is dedicated to providing students with the best possible education and preparation for a successful career in nursing. With an experienced faculty and outstanding resources, the university is committed to preparing its students for a long and successful career in the field of nursing.
