The university’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program takes place over four years and provides students with a comprehensive education in the principles of nursing. In addition to core courses in anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology, the program also includes specialty courses such as advanced pediatric nursing, neonatal intensive care nursing, and obstetrics/gynecology. Through these classes, students gain a deep understanding of the theories and practices of caring for patients and how to apply them in real life situations. Clinical rotations allow students to work under the direct supervision of a nurse practitioner or registered nurse, providing them with invaluable experience in the delivery of patient care. After completing their clinical and academic requirements, students are eligible to take the NCLEX-RN examination, which is the national licensing exam for nurses. If successful, graduates can obtain a state license, enabling them to practice in any state in the country.
