Nursing education at Four County Career Center provides students with the knowledge and skills they need to become professional nurses. Located in northwest Ohio, the Career Center offers a variety of degree and certificate programs in nursing. With classroom and clinical instruction, students learn the necessary skills to enter into a career in the medical field. The Career Center’s nursing program offers both Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) and Practical Nursing (PN) degree paths. All these programs are designed to prepare students for the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN). The PN program is a 12-month certificate program, which prepares students for taking the NCLEX-PN exam. In addition, the Career Center also offers a dual degree ADN/PN program, allowing students to earn both Associates Degree and Practical Nursing Certificates in 15 months. At the Career Center, students in nursing have access to a variety of resources. The school has a library with a dedicated collection of nursing books, periodicals and journals. Additionally, the Career Center offers online resources such as access to test preparation material and Open Educational Resources. The Career Center also has an active student nursing organization and offers externship opportunities for qualifying students.
