The Practical Nursing Certificate (PN) program is an option for students wishing to work as Licensed Practical Nurses. This program also provides hands-on clinical experience as well as a broad base of theoretical content and coursework. The Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) program at Owens Community College is designed to prepare you to become a Registered Nurse. This program combines classroom instruction with clinical practice and provides a comprehensive education in all areas of nursing. Upon graduation, you will be prepared to take the NCLEX-RN exam and obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse. Students enrolled in the nursing program at Owens Community College can also pursue certificate programs such as the Emergency Medical Services and Substance Abuse Options programs. In addition, many of the programs offered at Owens Community College have articulation agreements with other colleges and universities. These agreements allow students to transfer credits from one institution to another.
