Our Registered Nurse program is designed to prepare students for the nursing profession and to give them the best chance of success in a competitive job market. With a focus on hands-on learning and individualized attention, our faculty and staff strive to give students a well-rounded education. The Terra State nursing department provides innovative and well-rounded nursing education. We offer Associate of Applied Science Degrees in nursing which allow students to be eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) for Registered Nurses. We also offer several certificate programs for Licensed Practical Nurses and other levels of nursing. Our nursing program is designed to meet the needs of all students. We offer flexible schedules and give students the opportunity to tailor their degree or certificate program for their specific career goals. With courses covering topics such as medical-surgical, mental health, critical care, maternal-child health and much more, our students are well-prepared to move onto any level of nursing they desire. We believe that the best way to learn is by doing. Therefore, our instructors guide students through an array of hands-on clinical experiences. Students collaborate with healthcare specialists, faculty members and other healthcare professionals to gain real-world experience that further prepares them for a successful career in nursing.
