Nursing Education at Northern Marianas College provides the foundation for the professional practice of nursing. The Nursing Program is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) and offers students state-of-the-art theoretical training complemented with hands-on clinical experience designed to prepare them for successful careers in nursing. NMC is committed to providing students with an exceptional educational experience. The nursing curriculum consists of courses dedicated to developing both scientific knowledge as well as clinical skills. Courses include Anatomy & Physiology, Microbiology, Health Assessment, Foundations of Professional Nursing Practice and Clinical Experience. The program has three distinct levels: Associate of Science in Nursing, Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and Master of Science in Nursing. Students have access to the latest technology, including simulation laboratories and expansive library resources devoted to nursing and health sciences. Clinical experiences take place at a variety of clinical sites throughout the region, giving students the opportunity to gain valuable knowledge and expertise in a diverse range of settings. In addition to the curriculum provided by Northern Marianas College, students can take part in a number of extracurricular activities and special programs, such as service learning trips, research opportunities, student government, and volunteer projects that allow students to gain recognition for their work in the community.
