Nursing Education at Halifax Community College provides the educational foundation for a successful career in nursing. HCC offers various Associate Degree Programs and Certificates in Nursing with an emphasis on hands-on clinical experience and comprehensive coursework in the field. Students will have the opportunity to gain the knowledge and skills to become a professional nurse and be fully prepared to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN). At HCC, Nursing students will have access to the latest technology, state-of-the-art facilities, and experienced faculty members dedicated to providing quality training. Coursework in this program focuses on a variety of topics, including anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, nutrition, pathophysiology, and medical-surgical nursing. The school also offers nursing courses in community health, medical ethics, and leadership. Upon successful completion of the degree program, students are qualified to take the NCLEX-RN, which is required for a Registered Nurse license.
