In addition to classroom instruction, students are given the opportunity to practice their skills in the college’s Student Teaching and Professional Practice Lab. Here, students learn how to perform nursing tasks in high-fidelity simulations that model actual patient scenarios. This unique lab setting gives students an opportunity to apply their theoretical knowledge as they work alongside experienced nursing personnel. The college also offers degree programs in a variety of fields including medical-surgical nursing, critical care nursing, emergency nursing, pediatric nursing and psychiatric nursing. Students will develop the skills and knowledge necessary to provide quality health care in a variety of settings, from the hospital to the home. For those interested in furthering their nursing education beyond the baccalaureate level, Albert Einstein College of Medicine offers a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree. This program takes two years to complete and allows students to specialize in one of five areas: Family Nurse Practitioner, Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner, Gerontological Nurse Practitioner, Clinical Nurse Leader and International Nursing .
