Broome Delaware Tioga BOCES Practical Nursing Program provides an outstanding education to help prepare individuals with relevant nursing education. The program is designed to give students the skills necessary to provide effective and safe nursing care. The main focus of the program is to help students develop an understanding of the importance of providing compassionate and competent care to those in need. The curriculum is designed to meet the changing needs of nursing and healthcare, and provides the tools necessary to become a successful nurse. Students will learn about medical principles, anatomy and physiology, pathology, pharmacology, and other essential topics. The program also emphasizes hands-on experience and instructs students on various clinical procedures. Throughout the program, nursing students will also learn about legal and ethical issues in healthcare, and ways to improve patient safety through evidence-based practice. The Practical Nursing Program also provides students with valuable networking opportunities, enabling them to work together and learn from each other.
