As an approved practical nursing program, Erie 2 Chautauqua Cattaraugus BOCES-Practical Nursing Program is dedicated to providing quality education in a supportive learning environment so that students can exceed their goals and become successful, competent professional nurses. This program is designed to integrate the fundamentals of nursing, behavioral and social sciences, and physical and biological sciences into theory and clinical practice. The curriculum will focus on the nursing process, communication, critical thinking, and evidence-based practice to prepare graduates to provide safe, quality care management that meets the client’s physical, psychological, cultural, spiritual and environment needs. The program also includes courses in management and leadership where students are introduced to a variety of leadership styles and techniques. In addition to classroom instruction and clinical practice, students will take part in hands-on experiences and simulations that familiarize them with today's healthcare facilities, policies and procedures.
