Anoka-Ramsey Community College offers high-quality nursing education and training for students seeking to become health-care professionals. The college offers two nursing degree programs, an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing (AAS-RN) degree and a Practical Nursing Diploma. Both programs are accredited by the Minnesota Board of Nursing. At Anoka-Ramsey Community College, faculty deliver an intensive and comprehensive curriculum that goes beyond the traditional classroom setting. Students receive hands-on clinical experience in a variety of healthcare settings to hone their skills under the instruction of qualified and experienced nursing staff. The college also provides a state-of-the-art simulation lab environment with electronic patient care simulations & equipment, allowing students to experience a range of realistic patient scenarios. The AAS-RN program prepares graduate nurses to take the National Council Licensing Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) and enter into the profession of nursing. The Practical Nursing Diploma program is designed for students with minimal prior healthcare experience and provides students with the opportunity to gain practical experience and the knowledge and skills necessary to pass the National Council Licensing Examination for Practical Nurses (NCLEX-PN).
