Nursing Education at McHenry County College offers aspiring nurses an opportunity to learn valuable skills and gain the necessary knowledge to help them succeed in the healthcare field. Our curriculum covers topics such as anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, pharmacology, medical terminology, health assessment, nutrition, communication, ethics, and legal issues. At MCC, we also offer specialized training in areas such as obstetrics, pediatrics, long-term care, and mental health, allowing you to become qualified to specialize in a particular area of healthcare. We also offer an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Nursing degree that prepares you to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN).
