About

The University of North Georgia offers a top-tier nursing education for those looking to pursue a career in the healthcare field. With an emphasis on excellence and hands-on learning, UNG is committed to educating the next generation of nurses. The university offers an Associate of Science degree in Nursing (ASN) as well as a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Both programs provide a rigorous curriculum and extensive educational experience. In the ASN program, students will gain a strong foundation in the various aspects of nursing, including medical terminology, patient assessment, community health, pharmacology and more. They’ll also gain the clinical experience they need to build up their skill set and be able to practice safely and efficiently once they graduate. The BSN program is designed to help students who already have an ASN or are coming from a non-nursing related background. This program focuses on advanced nursing topics like leadership and management, research, health assessment, and informatics. This program is designed to prepare students to be future leaders in the healthcare industry. UNG also offers an RN-to-BSN program, which allows current Registered Nurses to further their education and explore additional areas of nursing. Students will study topics like gerontology, ethics and legal aspects of nursing, and community health. At UNG, faculty bring with them a wealth of knowledge and experience, allowing students to benefit from their expertise. Additionally, the university has many connections throughout the healthcare field, offering students real-world opportunities to gain experience and refine skills before graduation. As one of the premier institutions for nursing education, UNG is committed to cultivating the best and brightest in the field.
