About

Augusta University’s Nursing Education program is designed to prepare students for a career in nursing. The program offers courses in anatomy and physiology, health assessment, pharmacology, mental health nursing, medical-surgical nursing, pediatric nursing, community health nursing, and more. Students will learn about the various roles of a nurse, such as caring for patients, educating them on medical issues and administering medications. Upon completion of their studies, graduates will be eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX). Augusta University’s Nursing Education program also offers students a variety of clinical experiences such as in- and out-patient care, long-term care, maternal-child care, and critical care. This gives students the opportunity to put their knowledge and skills into practice and to further develop their one-on-one skills with patients. In addition, the school’s faculty provides extensive guidance and support throughout their studies. The Nursing Education program at Augusta University also provides students with additional opportunities to further their education. For example, the school offers graduate programs in nursing administration, advanced practice nursing and nurse educator. Moreover, the school offers students the opportunity to pursue an honors BSN or MSN degree. At Augusta University, students receive a comprehensive education in nursing that prepares them for their professional and personal goals.
