The Associate of Science in Nursing program at Seminole State College of Florida provides students with a comprehensive education to prepare them for entry into the nursing field. The two-year curriculum covers a variety of topics including patient assessment, pharmacology, healthcare ethics and standards, among other essential topics. In addition, the program will also give students the opportunity to gain experience through clinical experiences in various health care settings. Graduates of the program are prepared to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX), which is required in order for a nurse to become licensed. This graduate program takes approximately two years to complete and offers a variety of specializations including Nurse Educator, Nurse Administrator, Nurse Practitioner or Nurse Executive. Students will gain a strong background in nursing theory, research and practice and have the opportunity to pursue advanced courses in their chosen specialization.
