Upon successful completion of the program, students are eligible for employment in hospitals, long-term care facilities, and outpatient care centers. In addition to the ASN program, Lake-Sumter State College offers a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program and a bridge program for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs). The BSN program provides a comprehensive foundation that enables nurses to become advanced practitioners in the field of nursing. The bridge program is an intensive accelerated program designed for current LPNs to earn their BSN in as little as two years. This program allows nurses to gain the skills and experience needed to qualify for more management, educational and administrative roles.
