Cosumnes River College (CRC) is an accredited college offering a variety of nursing education programs for students interested in pursuing a nursing career. The college offers a two year Associate of Science degree in Nursing and three certificate programs in Gerontology, Licensed Vocational Nursing, and Home Health Aide. Students at CRC can also take courses to prepare for the National Council Licensing Examination (NCLEX) and the California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) exams. The nursing program at CRC is designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge they need to become successful nurses. Courses focus on four key areas: theory, clinical practice, research and health policy. The curriculum includes classroom instruction, lab work and clinical placements. Clinical experiences focus on developing professional practice and decision making abilities as well as critical thinking and problem solving.
