Mt. San Antonio College (Mt. SAC) offers accredited nursing education programs that prepare students for careers in nursing and related healthcare professions. The college offers both an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), and a Registered Nurse (RN) to Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) bridge program. Mt. SAC also offers numerous courses and certificates in specialized areas such as Home Health, Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing, Gerontology and Long-Term Care Administration. The ADN program at Mt. SAC provides a solid foundation in the sciences and hands-on clinical experience that prepares students for entry-level positions. Coursework includes topics such as anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, pharmacology, nutrition, genetics, psychology, and medical-surgical nursing. Additionally, the curriculum provides training in interpersonal relationships, assessment fundamentals, and care for infants, children, and adults. Graduates are eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN) and become licensed and registered nurses. The RN to BSN bridge program at Mt. SAC takes between two to three semesters to complete. It is designed to give experienced RNs the opportunity to further their career with an advanced degree. Students learn to think critically and understand current trends in healthcare in order to promote quality patient care. Courses cover topics such as informatics, public health, and leadership development.
