Modesto Junior College (MJC) offers comprehensive nursing education in its accredited nursing program. MJC’s nursing program prepares students for a career as a Registered Nurse and focuses on the biological, behavioral, and psychosocial sciences as they relate to nursing care. Students learn through classroom education as well as clinical experience at an approved hospital or skilled nursing facility providing hands-on training. The curriculum is designed to teach current theory and practice in patient care specific to California. The nursing education at MJC allows students access to the latest technology and encourages personal responsibility for the highest standards of ethical and professional nursing care. The program integrates knowledge and skills from the liberal arts, biological sciences, psychology, sociology, how to communicate effectively, critical thinking, and technological resources.
