Our team of experienced faculty have a comprehensive educational plan that is designed to provide students with the necessary training and skills they need to become successful nurses. The curriculum offers a comprehensive approach to nursing, focusing on the holistic care of patients and their families, as well as incorporating current technology within the field. Additionally, our team is committed to ensuring that students have the opportunity to engage in hands-on learning experiences through clinical and lab settings. The RN program here at Black River Technical College is divided into three semesters, allowing students to complete their studies in a timely manner. During each semester, students receive a variety of classes ranging from anatomy and physiology to pharmacology and pathophysiology. We also provide students with clinical experience and the opportunity to work in hospital settings, providing valuable hands-on experience. Furthermore, students are able to participate in simulation laboratories, which allow for the safe practice of medical processes. In addition to our standard RN program, we offer an accelerated RN program that can be completed in just 12 months. This accelerated format allows students to complete their education in a shorter timeline, while still receiving the same quality of education taught in our standard program. The accelerated program also provides an internship at an approved healthcare facility. We understand that our nursing students have many responsibilities and commitments. That’s why we offer evening and weekend classes, as well as online course options for students who require more flexibility. In order to ensure that our students are fully prepared for their profession, we also provide workshops, networking events and other resources, so that our students can stay up-to-date with industry trends.
