About

The University of Arkansas Community College-Morrilton (UACCM) provides an array of high quality nursing education designed to create a pipeline of capable, innovative nurses. UACCM's Nursing program is an associate of applied science degree that prepares graduate students to work in clinical settings, long-term care facilities, and other healthcare organizations. At UACCM, students are able to choose from four specialized pathways. This includes a Registered Nurse (RN) pathway, a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) pathway, a Nursing Assistant (NA) pathway, and a Medical Assistant (MA) pathway. Each pathway offers students the opportunity to specialize in different aspects of nursing and healthcare. In the RN pathway, students will gain knowledge of the theory and clinical practice pertaining to the delivery of healthcare. In the LPN pathway, students will receive training in administering medications and performing various tests and treatments. The NA pathway provides comprehensive instruction in providing non-medical care for patients in long-term care facilities. In the MA pathway, students learn how to perform medical office procedures and assist with patient diagnoses and treatments. At UACCM, students have access to the latest advances in technology, patient simulations, and educational resources. Additionally, students have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a variety of clinical settings. And, through the university's partnership with Holston Valley Medical Center, students can engage in real-world clinical experiences. Students at UACCM can be asured that they will receive a high quality education in nursing and healthcare that is tailored to their individual needs. By completing one of the four pathways offered at UACCM, students can become highly skilled certified nurses who are ready to take on the challenges of working in today's highly competitive healthcare field.
