Nursing education at the University of Central Arkansas is designed to give students a comprehensive education in nursing. The program is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, and graduates are eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses. The school's innovative curriculum focuses on the development of critical thinking, clinical reasoning, communication, and leadership skills, as well as knowledge in nursing science, health promotion, and care of diverse populations. The university offers a range of specialized nursing programs for undergraduate and graduate students, including an accelerated BSN, multi-state licensure, and clinical nurse leader programs. In addition, the UCA School of Nursing has a partnership with local hospitals in providing a Community Health Clinical Rotation program.
