The University of Scranton’s College of Nursing and Health Sciences offers a variety of nursing programs, ranging from certificate and undergraduate degrees to graduate and doctoral degrees. The curriculums are designed to develop a nurse’s skill set, providing the latest educational technology and research-based opportunities for students to experience and learn within their field. At U of S, students have the opportunity to receive an associate’s degree in nursing with a diploma program, or further their education by attending on-campus or online courses for a bachelor’s or master’s degree in nursing. With many concentrations available, including acute care, gerontology, and public health, each student can tailor their studies to meet their individual career goals. The U of S College of Nursing is approved by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing, and offers several dual programs, giving students the chance to gain two specializations in one program, such as a dual masters of science in nursing and business administration. Master’s degree students also have the option to pursue a Nursing Education Certificate while they take courses to acquire their Master of Science in Nursing. The College of Nursing and Health Sciences also provides a Doctor of Nursing Practice program that leads to careers as top-level nurses such as nurse practitioners, nurse executives and nurse educators. For those looking to continue their education without enrolling in a degree program, U of S offers a post-master's certifiicate in nursing and health care leadership which is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
